Michael Phelps on his legacy: 'Proud of what I've done'

when i think about
a person gaining a legacy

i think about moses

And the
angel of the LORD
appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush:
and he looked,
and,
behold,
the bush burned with fire,
and the bush was not consumed.

some thoughts
1. moses was 80 years old
2. our most important task on earth is to hear from God and obey it
3. the world keeps looking to this life alone for its legacy
4. legacy is something that validates   a person
5. our validation must come from God, this may include
no one knows about you
or maybe just a few people know about you
6. if a person finishes their "legacy" by an early age what do they do with the rest of their lives?
7. if our purpose is to please God we have an eternal task in front of us

For
I am in a strait betwixt two,
having a desire to depart,
and to be with Christ;
which is far better:
Tools specific to Phl 1:24
Nevertheless
to abide in the flesh
is more
needful for you.

1. like paul our best goal is to end up with Christ
2. our next best goal is to be a blessing to other people

Fulfil ye my joy,
that ye be likeminded,
having the same love,
being of one accord, of one mind.

the LORD
has a joy and a love
that this world does not know about
